This screenshot catches a midway stage in the evolution of my personal blog, which I have run on a self-hosted custom WordPress install since 2006. I have ended up using the site as a showcase for extending WordPress with a variety of plugins as well as its obvious usage as a blogging platform for myself and co-authors.

This design was chosen because the typography and layout is especially accessible for readers with disabilities and was also an SEO-driven choice. The multimedia box and extensive customisation possibilities of the chosen Thesis theme were also a factor.

This is an extensively customised blog, with many interactive Web 2.0 features added to the standard blogging platform, without interfering with the aesthetics or performance.

I keep on finding new plugins and testing them, and tweaking the information architecture to make things more findable for search engines and readers
